Inro Cord

Dear Friends,

I am very proud to offer you what is probably the largest selection of authentic Japanese inro cord outside of Japan, including a few new and replaced colors acquired in the Summer of 2001 and in 2004. In addition to the attached "Color List and Price Guide for Inro Cord," I have produced two related items to help you select the proper cord for your needs.

First, is a set of six swatch cards with a length of each of the actual listed cords tied in a simple one loop knot. You can see the actual color, texture and feel of each cord and the knot it might make. For the foreseeable future, there is only one set of these cards. You can use these cards on my Internet site, when you visit me in Chicago, or at any antique show where I am exhibiting.

For simpler needs, I have made up sets of color copies of the above six swatch cards. These color copies are very good, except for the darkest colors. These are easier for me to send out and for you to return, once you have made your selection. If you want to keep a set of the color copies for future reference, they are only $30 per set.

In any case, since inro cord is fairly easy to pack and mail, I can send out packages of precut cords in your choice of colors and price. You can select those you like, and return the ones that do not meet your needs, along with the payment for those you are keeping, plus the $10. postage.
